2008-12-28 2008 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows
Our Wind Band has won the Silver Prize in the 2008 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows - Symphonic Band (Intermediate) Contest. The Band would like to thank their teacher advisors, Mr Christian Wan, Mr Jim Sin, Ms Sina Lo, and their conductor, Mr Ngai Lung Shing, for their invaluable guidance and advice.

The Christmas Gathering was held this morning, and each class had a Christmas party in their home room. Students also enjoyed the song request, stall games as well as the football match between Form 7 students and teachers after the Christmas party.

Music – Achievements

Our students, Lew Ting Kai Edmund (1F), Leong King Bong Bryan (2D) and Chau Chin Ting (2B), captured marvelous results in Open Music Competitions. The results are as follows:

Lew Ting Kai Edmund (1F) captured the the Second Prize in the Sonatina Section and also Third Prize in the Bach Section of the Toyama Asian Youth Music Competition.
Leong King Bong Bryan (2D) captured the Second Prize in the Chopin Section of the same competition.
Chan Chin Ting (2B) captured the First Place in 1st Hong Kong Student Open Music Competition (Piano – Grade 6).

We congratulate the students for receiving the excellent achievements.

Our Symphony Orchestra has captured the Silver Prize in 2008 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows - Symphony Orchestra Contest. The team members would like to express their gratitude to their teacher advisors, Mr Christian Wan, Ms Luk Mee Lin, Ms Crystal Woo, and their conductor, Ms Lorraine Yeung.

New books have been purchased for the Reading Corner at a book store last Friday. Student helpers selected some of the latest releases and other interesting books for the Reading Corner. Students are welcome to enjoy reading in the relaxed environment of our Reading Corner.

2008-12-11 Visit of APLEC 7 delegates
A group of visitors from Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines visited our school this afternoon. They are delegates of APLEC 7 and educators from Lasallian schools in the Asia Pacific region. Members of the Student Association and the Public Relations Team led them on a school tour. The visitors were impressed by the hospitality of our students.
