The 75th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass, which is a major event in this
remarkable school year, was successfully held at La Salle Primary School.
It was our pleasure to invite His
Eminence Cardinal Joseph Zen, SDB, Bishop of Hong Kong to be our Celebrant.
During the Mass, Cardinal Zen encouraged
us to continue pursuing good values, like love and concern and honesty,
which would make the society a more harmonious one. Besides concerning
one's family, we should also open our heart to the society, such as giving
more care to the less privileged. Lastly, he asked God to continue blessing
us and helping us preserve the spiritual values for ever, and cheered us
to face the future with gratitude and confidence in God.
Apart from Cardinal Zen’s noteworthy words, Reverend
Brother Thomas further introduced the brief history of La Salle College and he welcomed brothers
who arrived at Hong Kong yesterday. He hoped they could know more about
the LaSallian brothers and establish a closer rapport with the school.
He encouraged students to accomplish the mission of the LaSallian Spirit.
At the end of the Mass, every student received a badge,
which was a bond between the students of the past, present and future and
a symbol of La Salle College.
