Day & Family Fun Day
The 75th
Anniversary Open Day and Fun Day, which was another spectacular function of this memorable anniversary, was successfully
held.
On 3
Feb 2007, the Opening Ceremony was launched with a Parade. Uniform groups, student representatives, LSPS students, teachers, parents as
well as representatives of Old Boys Association took
part in the Parade which symbolized the unity of LaSallian
Family. Official Party members, SMC members and Old Boys
who attended school in the 1930's were invited to dot the eyes of the “dragon” and the “lions”.
After
the Opening Ceremony, the campus was then opened to guests
and visitors. Form 1 to 3 classes held their classroom receptions in their own classrooms, subject displaysand science experiment demonstrations were also shown in classrooms of 2nd floor
and corresponding special rooms. Sports demonstrations were held in the Gym, and a lot other fabulous performances were put up on G/F.
At
night, an Open Day Dinner organized by the LSC PTA was held in the School Hall. During the dinner, auctions
were held and over $150,000 was raised for the Lasalle
Jubilee Fund.
On 4
Feb 2007, the Family Fun Day commenced at 10:00 pm. Apart from the programmes organized
by Form 1 to 3 classes and Subjects Panels, there was
also a food court in the Hall, featuring a big variety of cuisines, such as Swiss food, Italian
food, Indian food and traditional Chinese food.
On
the field, visitors had great fun participating in stall games organized by different clubs, LSPS PTA as well as our OBA. Besides, performances by students, old boys, parents, teachers and even Brothers had also amused the
audience.
The event reached its climax
when the Diamond Jubilee Time Capsule was sealed by Rev. Bro. Thomas and our Guest of Honor, Mr. Tang King Sing, Commissioner of Police.
